Ode to Ice
Ode to Ice
Oh, glorious ice,
you bring a chill to my spine.
My arms fill with goosebumps
when you are mine.
On a bright summer's day
or a cold winter's night,
Any time of the year
I love to take a bite.
You come out of the fridge
right into my cup.
There's a button on there
that crushes you up.
My teeth start to tingle
when they hit your cold rush.
They are super sensitive
until you turn to a mush.
Chick-fil-A serves you right
in crystallized nuggets.
You melt on my tongue
and I really love it.
You are the one thing I crave to devour.
Without you, I'm afraid,
my life would be dour.
